You have selected a premium quick-turn delivery. Certain restrictions apply. Please review the Quick Turn Rules for more information.
You have chosen a glass-filled resin. Please note that parts molded with glass-filled resins are more likely to suffer from warp than are parts molded with unfilled resins.
You have selected a textured finish. Please note that a PM-T1 (light bead blast texture) may only be applied to areas which are drafted 3 degrees or more, and that PM-T2 (medium bead blast texture) may be applied in areas which are drafted 5 degrees or more.
You have chosen a TPE (thermoplastic elastomer). Please note that it is very difficult to predict the shrink of this resin. It is sensitive to wall thickness, part design, molding process parameters and lot-to-lot variation. If you did not indicate you would be using a TPE resin when you uploaded this part, we will make standard tooling at the standard price, and the resulting tolerances (see Notes section below) are not valid -- your part geometry may be significantly worse than implied by the tolerances shown below. Please call Protomold Customer Service Engineering to discuss if you have questions -- 763-479-3680
Due to the size of your part, side pull cams or some other geometry constraint of your part, we must place it in a large mold which runs in a large press. There is a 10 cubic inch minimum shot size on this press. We will use a disposable dummy part to achieve this minimum, and your parts are priced accordingly.
You have selected "Customer supplied material". Please click here for helpful instructions, special notes, and summary terms.

The following illustrations indicate changes to the model which are required for compatibility with the Protomold process.

1. Faces shown in red have undercut portions. Blue lines (if any) indicate undercut regions. We are unable to produce these undercuts with the current Protomold process. An updated file will be needed to make this part.

2. Features require the minimum thickness indicated by the color below:
minimum thickness = 0.026 in
An updated file will be needed to make this part.
The following illustrations indicate part design considerations for optimal performance in the injection molding process.

1.
Yellow color coding indicates areas where part thickness is significantly less than nominal. These areas may have fill problems.

2.
If you require a textured finish on your part: PM-T1 (light bead blast texture) requires at least 3 degrees of draft, and PM-T2 (medium bead blast texture) requires at least 5 degrees of draft. Faces colored red have a draft of less than 3 degrees, and faces colored yellow have a draft of 3-5 degrees. Additional draft will need to be added to these faces in order to accommodate your texture choice.

This animation displays our flow analysis for your part. This simulation was run with the material Plexiglas V-052. The colors depict the bulk temperature at specific points as indicated on the scale.

The following illustrations indicate general information about how your part will be molded and areas in which the molded part will differ from the geometry of the CAD model due to the milling process used in mold manufacture.

1.
Corners that will have a radius due to the milling process are color coded as follows:
radius = 0.011 in

2.

Notes
- Customers are responsible for ensuring that the properties and performance of the resin selected meet the requirements of their application.
- There is no provision within the Protomold process to make the tool "steel safe." Since dimensional tolerances are highly dependent on the material selected and on the part design, we are not able to guarantee that a specific tolerance will be met.
- A-side shown in green. B-side (ejection side) shown in blue.
-
The expected tolerance in a well designed part in ABS, Black (Lustran 433-904000) is +/- (0.003 in + 0.002 in/in).
