Protomold in the news
Since our October update we've been featured in a number of magazine articles with case studies about our Rapid Injection Molding process. The complete list of articles can be found on the
News page of our web site, but the major articles appeared in Time Compression Technology, Machine Design, Job Shop Technology, Desktop Engineering and Appliance Manufacturer. Additional case studies written by Protomold's customers will continue to be published in the coming months and we really appreciate their support.
Our capacity expansion is on schedule
Last October we announced our plans to expand our capacity by 50% by year end.... and we did it. The addition of several new high-speed CNC mills, injection molding presses and key manufacturing staff has increased our capacity by at least this amount.
And we won't stop there. We're continuously working on the "rapid" in Rapid Injection Molding through internal software development and the streamlining of our manufacturing processes. Combined with additional facilities investments over the coming months, the expansion of our capacity will continue. We plan to be ready when you need us.
Larger parts are possible using our new 300 ton press
One specific thing we'd like to let you know is that our largest press is now 300 tons, which means we can now mold parts with up to 75 square inches of projected mold area - a 50% increase over our prior limit.
Check out the SolidWorks Print3D utility
SolidWorks users: Check out the new Print3D feature of SolidWorks 2004. Print3D provides you with the ability to request a ProtoQuote for your design without leaving SolidWorks.
Free Admission to National Manufacturing Week, February 23-26 -
See Protomold at Booth #2418
If you're planning to attend National Manufacturing Week at the McCormick Place in Chicago later this month, here's your chance to get
FREE ADMISSION to the show. Then remember to drop by Protomold booth #2418 within the SolidWorks Pavilion to say hello. We look forward to seeing you there.
If you are new to Protomold, we are bringing together information-age technologies and an advanced mold-making process to radically reduce the time it takes to create injection molding tooling for smaller volumes of injection molded parts.
This means that we can mold your parts faster and more cost effectively than anyone else, and in the engineering resin of your choice - including glass filled. Please see
our web site for other application examples or request a quote on-line!
