Now the ProtoQuote web-based quoting system gives you the ability to explore the effect of different delivery schedules on your quoted price. And for those rare occasions when you're not in a rush, ProtoQuote also let's you take advantage of a price discount for a slightly longer shipment schedule.
The ProtoQuote system is web-based and interactive. You can immediately evaluate the effect on mold and piece price by changing several parameters:
- Number of cavities - up to 8 depending on part size.
- A and B side finish levels - 6 different levels up to SPI-A2 (high polish).
- Resin type - select from standard Protomold resins in stock or specify custom resin.

The ProtoQuote system still provides you with a complete analysis of your part with suggested changes for improvements which will simplify or reduce the cost of injection mold tooling.
The ProtoQuote part analysis includes information on these features:
- Undercuts - graphical images highlighting any undercuts on the part.
- Wall thickness issues - areas that may cause fill or sink problems.
- Draft issues - recommendations on where draft is required or where it will reduce cost.
- Radius issues - color coded images indicating radii which will occur as a result of the mold milling process.
- Minimum thickness - areas where a minimum thickness is required to accommodate the mold milling process.

Since the last Protomold update, we have continued to grow in response to your demand for "simple" parts, FAST. A number of key personnel have been added in all areas of the company, and we're now running three shifts around the clock.
