Protomold Announces E-Quotes

Maple Plain, Minnesota, March 4, 2001 - Protomold announced today that it now provides highly illustrative web-based "E-Quotes" to customers based on an analysis of their part designs.

The Protomold E-Quote includes links to color CAD illustrations as a means of conveying technical considerations for our customers' review. As shown in the following figures, examples would include undercuts or radii due to the milling process.

Additional technical data concerning the customers' parts is also included in the E-Quote such as the material of interest, part color & surface finish requirements, gating type to be used and the number of mold cavities planned. Based on this information, cost and lead times for sample or production quantities are generated, typically in the range of 5-20 business days ARO.
